Iran-Bio fuels

IRAN - Iran is planning to start producing bioethanol within the next three months.

According to a report on the Chinese newsagency, Xinhua, the head of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, Ali Ameri, said the oil ministry is to sign an agreement with teh Iranian association of ethanol producers to get production underway.

The ethanol will be produced from waste crops of which, the report says, Iran produces 17.86 million tonnes a year.The technology is being obtained from Brazil and Bolivia for the new initiative.
