NEW PRESIDENT OF Irelands Craft Butchers.

Hugh Maguire of Ashbourne in County Meath, has been elected as the new president of the Irish Craft Butchers Association.

Hugh has an excellent reputation as a master butcher, with numerous awards under his blt for sausage making and services to the catering industry.

Hugh said about his appointment, " I have a feeling that many of those who predicted the end of the traditional butcher including our supermarket competitors, are looking in our shop windows wondering where it all went wrong for them".

He has a valid point as it is a well known fact that the new farm shops are the biggest competition to the supermarkets today.
