JLG high on praise for new model

JLG Industries, Inc. the world's leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and a world leading manufacturer of telescopic handlers has launched two new European design compact telehandlers - the models 266 and 307. The new machines complement the eleven models currently available in the JLG 3500 and 4000 series, which have capacities of up to 4000kgs and reach of up to 17 metres in height.

The 266 and 307 telescopic material handlers have maximum lifting heights of 5.8 and 6.9 metres and maximum capacities of 2,600 kg and 3,000 kg. Both come equipped with high torque Deutz Turbo engines for effective on and off road performance, a fully proportional electric joystick and JLG's Quick Switch* feature for efficient attachment change.

John Green, General Manager at Greenwoods Hire in Staxton, North Yorkshire trialled the 307 for a five week period, he commented, "We have a long standing relationship with JLG and have always been very impressed with the quality and capability of their machines, the 307 is no exception.

'We are always looking for innovative products that can provide ease of use and save time, the 307 does just this with its quick extending boom to help increase productivity levels. It also has excellent visibility, is powerful and robust enabling it to cope with a variety of land types, we predict it will be of great benefit to the agricultural market. It's compactness means it can navigate through small spaces which is perfect for use on farms.'

Simon Cracknell, General Manager at JLG comments,

"The 266 and 307 compact telehandlers further strengthen our already strong offering. Before introducing these machines, we undertook extensive field-testing among users to be certain we had products that would meet customer's needs. We are supporting these products with JLG's service programs and aftermarket care.'

Next year will see the introduction of JLG model 266 with a lower profile cab, giving the machine an overall height of just under 2.0m, compared to 2.18m on a standard machine.
