Kenya-Canned meat for the starving and cattle bought from drought stricken farmers.

The government will soon start distributing canned meat to starving families, Livestock minister Mohammed Kuti has said.

Speaking during the 29th graduation ceremony at Nyahururu’s Animal Health and Industry Training Institute, Dr Kuti said the cattle will be sourced from drought-hit areas.

He said Sh500 million had been set aside for buying livestock in arid and semi-arid areas to avert losses among pastoralists.
