Lamb survival assistance

Sugar beet feed can provide a valuable energy boost to the heavily pregnant ewe, giving her progeny a much better chance of survival. To help ensure the ongoing health of newborn lambs, Trident is offering producers a free lamb survival kit with orders of dried sugar beet feed.

Presented in a sturdy, lightweight 20-litre bucket, the survival kit includes a single ewe spoon and tapes, colostrum syringe and latex tube, lamb puller, 500ml 10% pump of spray iodine, 200ml Marksman spray, Agrigel with pull-up spout and 100ml (25 doses) of Lamb Kick-Start.

The offer, which runs until the end of March, is open to the first 1,000 applicants taking delivery of six tonnes of Trident sugar beet feed. To qualify, the sugar beet must be delivered on-farm before the end of March 2005.

Further information and claim forms are available from feed merchants.
