McCormick dealer Hilton Machinery strengthens after-sales service
Two key staff appointments at Hilton Machinery, the Market Drayton-based dealer for McCormick tractors, will strengthen its after-sales service to customers in Staffordshire and parts of Shropshire and Cheshire.
Andy Greaves, who has worked with Hilton Machinery as a workshop technician for more than two years, has been appointed service manager. In this role, he will manage the increasingly busy workshop on Bert Smith Way, Adderley Road Industrial Estate, as well as demand for on-farm routine servicing and repairs.
“We have a very competitive labour rate and thanks to the experience of our new workshop engineer, we can work on a wide range of new and used tractors with confidence,” he says.
Newly-appointed workshop engineer Eric Derry lives near Cannock in the southern part of Hilton’s McCormick territory. He joins the business with 16 years’ full-time experience with dealerships handling Case, Deutz-Fahr and Valtra tractors.
“Eric joins us after a time spent maintaining an industrial company’s machinery fleet and he’s very keen to get back into agriculture,” says Julian Kearne, managing partner at Hilton Machinery. “Andy’s appointment will give me more time to focus on the growth of our tractor and machinery sales, and he will also be involved in developing our parts business.”
Hilton Machinery’s suppliers provide a source of parts for most used tractors and machinery, as well as wearing metal, batteries, lubricants and electrical components.
“We’re delighted to make these two appointments to help develop our expanding business and, in particular, the back-up service available to customers,” adds Julian Kearne.
