The National Beef Association has appointed Chris Mallon to take over as National Director.
He will replace Interim Operations Manager Ali McKnight who has been holding the post temporarily while recruitment was ongoing.
Mallon has a background in beef production projects in Eastern Europe, working with national animal feeds supplier BOCM Pauls, managing the Scotland area for the Tesco Producer Group Project after beginning as a trainee auctioneer.
"We are delighted with the NBA forward momentum this year and to have a National Director now in place to lead us to the top of the industry on behalf of the beef sector" said NBA National Chairman Hamish McBean.
