New cash incentive for green farmers in Scotland

Young farmers are only too aware of the increasing pressures of the environment and in a bid to promote new ways of thinking, the Future Farmer Award hopes to spread the green message across Scotland.

This new award, funded by the Scottish National Heritage, will promote practical ideas for improving the environmental sustainability of farming in Scotland. Each year the award will give a Scottish farmer a package of support to help them communicate their ideas to other farmers and land managers.
