New Holland branch for the Isle of Anglesey
Farmers on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, now have a shorter distance to travel for New Holland dealer facilities following the opening of a new branch of Gwynedd Farm Machinery on the island.
The branch, which will offer parts, service and machinery sales, is at Unit 9, Gaerwen Industrial Estate, Gaerwen, and was opened in response to a strong demand for New Holland machinery from Anglesey’s farmers.
According to Gwynedd Farm Machinery’s Elin Evans, the new branch will be much more convenient for the firm’s customers on the island:
“Anglesey is a vast area with a high proportion of New Holland tractors in use,” she said. “It was a natural move for us to open a branch there. Our new facility at Gaerwen will put parts and service within easy reach of the local farmers.
“The launch late last year of the TS-A tractor Series and the newly introduced TVT and TL-A tractors has strengthened New Holland’s position in the market and this has given us confidence to expand our operation out of our Caernarfon branch and to take our business forward.
“We have faith in New Holland’s products and feel they will continue to sell well on Anglesey.”
Two jobs have already been created at the new branch, with another three new positions likely as the business starts taking on work that was previously carried out by Gwynedd Farm Machinery’s Caernarfon-based staff.
New Holland’s Northern Commercial Manager, Dick Spencer, said that the new branch at Gaerwen was good news for farmers on Anglesey and good news for the brand.
“We’re keen to see our dealerships build their businesses and Gwynedd Farm Machinery has done a tremendous job in the past couple of years promoting and supporting New Holland on the Anglesey,” he said. “Having a new branch on the island a logical step and will put parts and service much closer to the customers we have there.”
