New Holland's newly styled TCD-A range of groundcare tractors offer more than good looks, with a range of features that would put many bigger machines in the shade. Following the New Holland family styling that has proved to be a head-turner from the flagship TG Series to the TS-A and TL-A, the TCD-A packs plenty of power into a compact platform, complemented by some impressive specifications.
The new TC27D-A, TC40D-A and TC45D-A muster 27hp, 40hp and 45hp respectively, which can be put to use in a wide range of applications. Four-wheel drive and a choice of mechanical or hydrostatic transmissions ensure power is applied smoothly and efficiently. Power Range hydrostatic drive on the two top models allows the operator to power down at the touch of a button in either transport or working ranges. This results in more torque without having to make a range change, ideal for steep slopes or when loading a front bucket.
Manoeuvrability is an essential attribute of these tractors, and New Holland's unique SuperSteerā¢ front axle offers a 75 degree turn angle for outstanding agility. Sensitrackā¢ system works alongside this unique front axle to help prevent the front tyres damaging fine turf. In Auto four-wheel drive mode, power is diverted to the front axle in most conditions. When the front wheel speed increases in relation to those at the rear, such as when making a tight turn, drive to the front axle is disengaged. Permanent four-wheel drive can be selected, providing maximum traction in all conditions.
The TC40D-A and TC45D-A offer a massive 1486kg rear linkage capacity while a 37 litre/minute hydraulic pump provides ample power for the most demanding applications. A separate dedicated steering pump ensures implements receive full power during manoeuvres. Fender-mounted levers provide delicate control for the responsive rear-linkage and up to three remote valves.
All-season comfort awaits those who specify the purpose-built cab. Extremely spacious for the size of tractor, the cab's large single-piece glass doors and windscreen provide a panoramic view, while the forced air ventilation system keeps the operator cool. The ergonomic control layout and comfortable seat complete the design, to make the TCD-A a very attractive machine.
