New policy advisor at MLC
A NEW policy advisor has just joined the ranks of the Meat and Livestock Commission (MLC). Mark Topliff will be taking over some the economic forecasting work for the sheep industry and also helping out on the beef side. He has joined MLC from ADAS where he was a beef and sheep consultant for six years.
Mark said: "This is a particularly important time for the whole industry and I am looking forward to helping producers respond to both the challenges and opportunities that will bring." Head of policy Stephen Rossides said: "I am delighted to welcome Mark to MLC's Economic and Policy Analysis Group. "His background and ADAS experience fits in extremely well with the group's work.
I look forward to him contributing to our policy work as well as his role on the sheep forecasting side." Mark, 29, graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc in agricultural science. In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit and sport.
