Carmen Suarez, the NFU's Chief Economist will be the guest speaker at the NFU Cymru Anglesey Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 29 January 2008.
Held at 7.30pm at Tafarn y Rhos, Llangefni, the meeting is open to all NFU Cymru members on the island. Ms Suarez will provide an economic forecast for the agricultural industry and will also give an update on the future of the Single Farm Payment.
Trevor Lloyd, NFU Cymru Chairman for Anglesey said, "I'm sure local farmers will be interested in hearing what's on the horizon for the industry, especially in light of the difficulties encountered last year as a result of Foot and Mouth disease restrictions.
"There will also be a question and answer session with Ms Suarez, and I would encourage as many members as possible to come along."
