NVZ appeals deadline - register by 31 January 2009

Farmers in England have until 31 January to register their NVZ appeals with the independent panel set up by Defra. Appeals must be backed by supporting evidence, but provided the basic appeal form (available here) is submitted by 31 January - with whatever information is available by that date - it is expected farmers will be allowed a further period to prepare their detailed evidence. An announcement on the exact date is expected shortly. Farmers in Wales, where the process started later, have until 31 March to submit their appeals to the WAG.
