Oxford Farming Conference to focus on climate change
DEFRA Secretary Hilary Benn is due to head the list of speakers at this year's Oxford Farming Conference, taking place on Thursday and Friday (January 3 and 4).
The main theme to this year's event is whether agriculture could be 'the solution, not the problem' as far as climate change is concerned. The conference will also discuss the prospect of farming without subsidies in the future.
Mr Benn is due to deliver his 'Vision for 2020' tomorrow morning. The conference will hear from experts from across the world on climate change, farming entrepreneurs who are seizing new opportunities and from international politicians.
