Read your own copy of the Ranger!

If you are reading a secondhand copy of the Ranger (or one of those illegal photocopied versions we know are in circulation!) then all you have to do to get your own is get along to the free range conference.

Event organisers Lohmann GB have generously agreed to sponsor the first year’s membership of BFREPA for any free range egg producer attending the conference who is not already a member of the organisation.

“We recognise the vital work that BFREPA carries out on behalf of free range producers and we are delighted to be able to help encourage membership,” said Lohmann GB’s sales director Rob Milner. “We also know the Ranger is the one magazine that no producer should be without.”

Delegates attending this year’s conference—to be held on Wednesday 24th November at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire—can look forward to more trade stands than ever before and a brand new feature in the form of a practical veterinary demonstration. Here producers will be able to discuss flock health issues with the Ranger vets from Crowshall Veterinary Services.

The afternoon conference session promises to be of interest to grassroots producers with speakers selected for their practical approach to a wide range of issues. Topics covered will be the implementation of new organic standards; marketing free range eggs outside of the major packers; and selecting breeding stock based on their suitability for a life on the range.

Along with the Good Egg awards and Quality Egg competition, it promises to be a great day out.
