Record earnings tipped for agricultural exports

Australian farm and resources exports are forecast to reach a record value of $214 billion dollars in 2008/2009, according to the latest outlook from the Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics.

Chief commodities forecaster at ABARE Dr Jammie Penm says the resources sector exports are tipped to rise a massive 53 per cent to $180 billion while farm exports should see a nine per cent increase to $30 billion.
