Irrigators in South Australia's Riverland say they hope a new national water plan will secure their future on the land.
Tom Martin, an almond and grape grower from Renmark, says the previous distribution of power among Murray-Darling Basin states was a 'dog's breakfast'.
Mr Martin says irrigators just want peace of mind under a new independent authority.
