Robot 'feed waiter' to be presented at Agromek 2012

A robot waiter that feeds cows automatically at the feeding table, will be presented at the Agromek 2012 Agricultural Exhibition in Herning, Denmark on the 27th of November.

The robot can discern when there is too much feed or too little, and will restock when needed.

The Agromek 2012 exhibition is one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in Northern Europe.

Its exhibits include modern farmer requirements for arable and livestock.

The Lely Vector feeder robot is one of Agromek?s most important exhibits and it has been approved and classified as a three-star Europe New Product exhibit.

It is equipped with a front laser that reads the amount of feed on the feeding table.

The farmer can adjust how much or how little feed there should remain on the table prior to the robot initiating the next feeding process.

The robot is directed by metal strips installed in the flooring. When it arrives in front of the cows, it applies a sensor that ensures that it always keeps a safe distance from the cows.

The Agromek Agricultural Exhibition is an exhibition that presents tractors, combines and field implements to innovative installations and fittings for livestock housing.
