Russia-5 meat plants de-registered for export.

5 MEAT PLANS REJECTED BY BELARUS.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Supply of Belarus, Semen Shapiro, has just had his veterinarians complete an inspection of Russian meat plants and knocked 5 plants strait off the list of approved premises.

The Russian meat plants on the whole are the most primitive on the globe outside of India and Africa, As Russia is a meat importing country and not and exporter, no one pays much attention to the squalid conditions that abound in the Russian meat industry.

There are 250 establishments licensed to send product to Belarus, the criteria is not particularly high, suffice to say if 5 plants are not good enough for Belarus, they are not good enough for anywhere.

The plans will be re-inspected at the end of May.

Meanwhile Russia has lifted the ban on meat imports from Denmark. Denmark boast perhaps the most advances pork and bacon plants in the world, when the ban was imposed by Russia it was clearly a political tit for tat for some offense, other than contravention of meat hygiene laws, according to industry sources.
