RUSSIA-MEAT IMPORTS FOR 2008.
Fresh and frozen meat imports to Russia grew by 14.2% to 1.6 million tons in 2008 from 1.4 million tons in 2007, and up 43.4% to $4.9 billion from $3.4 billion in money terms, as Federal Customs Service reports.
Fresh and frozen poultry imports were down 5.4% to 1.218 million tons from 1.287 million tons, and in money terms it increased by 27.6% to $1.34 billion from $1.05 billion.
