RUSSIA- REDUCTION IN MEAT QUOTA’S.
The Russian Government issued Resolution 918, which increases the over quota pork and poultry meat duties and decreases duties on over quota beef. The resolution also reduces the total poultry import tariff rate quota volume by 300,000 metric tons. The U.S. share of the TRQ decreased to 750,000 metric tons from 931,000 metric tons. At the same time the document increases the U.S. pork import from 40,300 metric tons to 100,000 metric tons for 2009, according to FAS.
