Russian Agricultural Division conducts buckwheat harvesting

This autumn, harvesting campaign in farming units of Russian Agricultural Division shows satisfactory results with more cropland being put into cultivation, and significant achievement in productivity gains. Targeted programs of the company have focused on improving yield across all regions of its presence.

Spring wheat acreage has been harvested almost in full, and RAD farms in Solton and Kamensky districts (Agrofirma Niva Llc. and Allac Llc.) proceeded to gathering buckwheat. At Niva, 100% of the buckwheat acreage has been mowed and windrowed, the thrashed volume standing at 44.3%. Fields of the farm deliver higher-than-expected yields of 14.6 hundredweight per hectare.

Although spells of adverse weather caused minor delays in the campaign, RAD believes it will be finished on schedule and is pleased with the quality of the crop.

RAD, PAVA subsidiary that controls over 160,000 ha of land, aims at expansion of agricultural business through practicing of advanced sustainable farming methods.
