Shrewsbury collective sale attracts 1,000 lots

Around 1,000 lots will be on offer at the next bi-monthly collective sale of tractors, agricultural machinery, plant and equipment at Shrewsbury Auction Centre on Friday (June 5).

Quality entries have poured in from England and Wales and enquiries are being received by auctioneers Hall from across Europe and as far away as South Africa.

The sale will have the largest plant section to date, with more than 30 lots of interest to specialist contractors, including two Hyundai R140/7 wheeled excavators and a JCB 3CX.

A total of 13 tractors and six telescopic handlers are entered together with a wide range of seasonal farm implements, including silage makers.

The sale, which starts at 10am, will also have items of interest to gardeners, with a range of lawnmowers, strimmers and other garden implements, together with tools, and spare parts.

Auctioneers Tom Jones, who manages the sale with John Rossiter, is hopeful the auction will be the best yet at its new venue in Shrewsbury.
