Shropshire Agricultural Contracting Business Selling Up
A Shropshire family that has run an agricultural contracting business for more than 50 years is selling up.
Shrewsbury auctioneers Halls are conducting a dispersal auction of agricultural machinery on half of John Strefford and Sons at Donnington Farm, Donnington, near Wroxeter on Wednesday, April 28 at 2.30pm.
The 240-lot auction includes five tractors, ranging from a grey 1954 Ferguson TE to two 1999 Steyr models, a 1999 Valtra Valmet and a 1987 John Deere. Other notable lots include a 2008 Claas Quadrant 3200 square baler, a 2009 McConnel hedgecutter, a JCB telescopic loader and a 1991 Volvo F10 articulated tractor unit.
"The Strefford family has been involved in agricultural contracting for more than 50 years and the machinery on offer has all been well maintained and serviced," said auctioneer Nick Hyne from Halls. "The business was established at Atcham Grange for many year before moving to Donnington Farm.
In addition to the Strefford family’s lots, which also includes a range of cultivation and harvesting equipment, there will be machinery entries from other local farmers.
