Smoothie success

A light hearted competition was organised for Dai Davies NFU Cymru's President against Gareth Vaughan FUW's President on the Eisteddfod field yesterday in Cardiff.

Both Presidents were given a budget to buy local produce on the Maes and make a tasty smoothie containing up to five Welsh produce.

After almost 50 minutes of walking around the Maes the presidents came back with some blueberries, strawberries, Calon Lan Milk, Llaeth y llan Yoghurt, Banna Flavoured Daioni Milkshake along with some Penderyn Whisky which were all apparently found on the Maes.

After the competition Dai Davies said, "This was a fun competition to show Eisteddfod goers how simple it is to make a healthy, tasty smoothie containing Welsh produce. I hope that people who watched the demonstration today will think Welsh when buying their produce."
