SRI-LANKA- A NEW MEAT IMPORT BAN IN PLACE.

Like many other countries fear and alarm caused by the media, has prompted Sri-lank to ban imports of pork meat.

Pork is only imported for the use of five star hotels in Sri Lanka.

Precautions against swine flu noted

The Sri Lanka Health Ministry and World Health Organization (WHO) officials stated precautions that should be taken when travelling abroad to avoid the contagious H1N1 flu.

A WHO representative in Sri Lanka has stated that anyone travelling outside the country should be made aware of the possibility of contracting the virus.
