A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of an elderly farmer in Polokwane, Limpopo police said on Wednesday.
Michiel de Lange, 70, was killed in a fire at his home in Dorset on Tuesday morning.
"The suspect, who is related to an employee on the farm, was arrested in Modimolle a few hours after the incident," said Superintendent Ronel Otto.
Police also recovered a .38 Special revolver, an amount of cash taken from the safe as well pieces of clothing which belonged to De Lange.
The man was expected to appear in court later this week.
De Lange's body was found inside his house after farmworkers found the building on fire and alerted police.
