The Dairy Event 2006

The Dairy Event, Europe's premier two day business to business exhibition for the dairy industry organised by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 September.

This year there will be around 400 exhibitors representing all sectors of the industry, and more than 12,000 visitors are expected, including representatives from at least 30 different countries.

Working machinery in a farm environment is now a firmly established and popular feature of this annual event. John Deere is once again sponsoring the machinery demonstration area, which this year features at least eight different makes of mixer wagon from BVL, Hi-Spec, Keenan, Lucas G, Redrock Engineering, Shelbourne Reynolds, Harry West and Westmac.

The interest in mechanised feeding of stock continues to increase, especially on larger farm units where labour shortages can be a problem. The working demonstrations at the Dairy Event provide livestock farmers with a unique opportunity to compare models from different manufacturers, working under the same conditions.

Visitors to the event should make their way to Avenue Q, where a range of John Deere machines will also be on display, including tractors and forage equipment. For further details on the event, visit the RABDF website at www.dairyevent.co.uk
