An extensive range of farm implements, machinery and tractors together with 80 cattle will be going under the hammer at a dispersal auction on a North Shropshire dairy and arable farm on September 1.
The auction at Rowe Farm, Rowe Lane, Welshampton, near Ellesmere is being conducted by auctioneers Halls on behalf of Mrs Elizabeth Marsh, who is in the process of selling the farm following the death of her well known husband, Howard.
Halls confirmed that the farm, which was on the market at ’1.25 million, has been sold subject to contract.
The Marsh family has owned Rowe Farm for more than 45 years and the late Mr Marsh was well known for his steel fabrication skills, which enabled him to make and adapt machinery and equipment.
The tractors on offer include a Ford 4000, a Ford 7810 and a Ford 7840 with a Chilton loader. There are also 11 trailers, a Welgar AP 630 baler, a Taarup Kverneland feeder wagon, a Kuhn FC 300g mower/conditioner, a Kuhn power tiller and a Marshall 90 muck spreader.
Additional machinery included in the auction from other vendors include a Pottinger MEX VI Forage Harvester, a Massey Ferguson 30 drill, an Iveco Ford two axle rigid body flat lorry, a West 1600 Slurry King muck spreader, a Twose heavy duty cultivator and an International 16 spout corn drill on transporter.
The cattle in the auction comprise 20 homebred British Friesian heifers in calf to pedigree Hereford and Aberdeen Angus bulls and 60 genuine store cattle ranging from five to 26-months-old.
’The store cattle are mainly Hereford cross and Aberdeen Angus cross steers and heifers, many of which are by registered sires and ideal for anyone looking for genuine cattle to finish,’ said Allen Gittins, a director of Halls.
