Truck strike impacts cattle sales
The effects of the national truck drivers' stoppage are beginning to be felt in the region, with at least one stock sale reporting numbers well down.
The offering for today's Gunnedah cattle sales is down to 410 because graziers are worried about the ability of buyers to get their stock to processors.
The president of Tamworth Stockselling Association, Chris Patterson, says some livestock which was sold on Monday is likely to stay in Tamworth because it cannot be transported to Queensland.
