The giant Goodman Group’s Anglo Beef Processors has announced that Tom Kirwan has been appointed as the managing director, effective from April 1 when Richard Cracknell will be retiring.

Richard will remain with the company in the roll of vice chairman in a non executive capacity.

Tom joined the company at their plant in Cahir in 1982, which was the second beef plant acquired by Larry Goodman the founder of the company.

The Goodman group are the largest beef processor in Europe today, still headed by Larry Goodman who has always had a policy of promoting from within his own company.
