UNITED STATES-MEAT PLANT BOSS SENT TO PRISON.
A former supervisor at a House of Raeford-owned plant in Greenville, S..C. was sentenced to two years in prison for aggravated identity theft, according to media reports.
The supervisor at the Columbia Farms poultry processing plant pleaded guilty in December. Federal agents said John Jairo Johnson-Amaya used another person’s Social Security number on employment forms. He faces deportation after serving his sentence, the Associated Press reported.
Johnson-Amaya’s arrest was a result of a federal raid on the plant last October.
