LIVE CATTLE IMPORTS.
A memorandum of Undertaking, has been signed in Nha Trang Vietnam, between the Northern Territory of Australia Cattlemen’s Association, and buyers in Vietnam.
The initial deal is for 1,500 live cattle, to be shipped from Darwin the Vietnam, followed by vessels on a regular basis, taking store cattle from Australia, to be finished in feed lots in Vietnam.
While the initial numbers are small, this is ground breaking for Vietnam who are mainly a pork and poultry eating nation.
Primary Industries Minister, Kon Vatskalis, said " the Territory is in a good position to supply cattle to Vietnam
