Vietnam Friday will raise the import tax on beef carcasses
and half-carcasses, fresh or chilled, to 33% from 17%, the Ministry of Finance
said Thursday.
The import tax on fresh or chilled beef cuts will be raised to 20% from 17%,
the ministry said in a statement.
The import tax on fresh or chilled carcasses or half-carcasses of hogs, fresh
or chilled hams, shoulders and cuts of pork and fresh or chilled pork will
increase to 28% from 24%, it said
The country will also apply an import tax of 2% on whey and modified whey;
there is currently no import tax.
The tax on shelled beans and peas, whether skinned or not skinned or split,
will be raised to 13% from 10%, it said.
