The Western Australian Farmers Federation is conducting investigations to eradicate bovine viral diarrhoea virus in the state.
The federation, Cattle Council of Australia and Animal Health Australia are working together to detect and tackle the virus.
The virus causes a high rate of miscarriages in cows and calf deaths and is easily spreadable.
