Wales farm payout next week

The Welsh Assembly Government is ready to issue single farm payments to 75 per cent of farmers in Wales on Monday, 3 December, Rural Affairs Minister Elin Jones has announced.

Payments totalling 141m pounds will be released on Monday, the first day that payment is possible.

Elin Jones made the announcement during a visit to the Royal Welsh Winter Fair at Llanelwedd.

She said:

I am pleased to be able to make the announcement today that 75 per cent of farmers in Wales will receive their single payments in full next Monday, 3 December, with 141m being paid out.
