Warwick cattle sale numbers down
A stock and station agent says the truck stoppage, combined with miserable weather, meant bookings at yesterday's Warwick cattle sales were down 75 per cent.
George and Fuhrmann manager Matthew Grayson says at this time of year there are usually 800 head at the weekly Warwick cattle sales, but yesterday there were 200.
Mr Grayson says producers were concerned there would not be enough meat operators attending with trucks to buy and take delivery of cattle.
