Butley Mills

Enjoy England Self Catering 4 Stars

Accommodation Details

Located close to the Suffolk Coast, Butley Mill stands at the head of Butley Creek, with views across the reed beds to the front and meadows to the rear with woodland and forest in the middle distance. The peaceful surroundings of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) make this an ideal holiday base for bird watchers and country lovers, or for those looking for a quiet break. Positioned between the popular towns of Woodbridge, Orford and Aldeburgh and convenient for Snape Maltings, Butley Mill makes an ideal base for exploring the whole of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

The Mill was converted in 2006 into five comfortable self catering holiday apartments, sleeping between 2 and 6 individually, but by hiring the whole Mill, it is possible to accommodate 18, plus a couple of babies, in a total of 9 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms.

The ground floor of the Mill provides a spacious communal room with sufficient table space to seat 18, some occasional seating and an games area. This leads out onto an extensive area of fenced, west facing decking which overlooks the river - ideal for having a bar-be-que and eating al fresco, or watching the sun set over a glass of wine.
