Aberystwyth University

The Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS) at Aberystwyth University is an internationally-recognised research and teaching centre providing a unique base for research in response to global challenges such as food security, bioenergy and sustainability, and the impacts of climate change. IBERS' scientists conduct research on genes and molecules, whole organisms and the environment.

The University is in idyllic countryside on the Welsh coast, and is recognised as one of the safest universities in Britain. Also, Aberystwyth was recently announced as the best UK town by the Academy of Urbanism, recognising the environmental beauty and the social strengths of our community.
