A £500 award is up for grabs for information leading to the arrest of the thief who stole vintage cheddar cheese.

A Somerset cheesemaker has offered the reward after two of his cheddars were stolen during Yeovil Show.

The Clothier family, the farmers behind the award-winning Wyke Farms cheese, are appealing for information.

Two 20kg blocks of cheese were stolen after the judges at the show had crowned the cheese champion and reserve champion.

The cheese has a retail value of around £800, but it could be worth more.

Rich Clothier, managing director of Wyke Farms, told Somerset Live he is saddened but not surprised by the theft.
