Around 40 sheep were killed or seriously injured after they became loose on the A1 in Rutland.

A number of cars were damaged in the incident, which happened near Greetham, Rutland, on Saturday night (29 December).

It's been reported that around 40 sheep were either killed or seriously injured.

It is unclear how the sheep became loose on the road.
