The world's older cheddar manufacturer, AJ & RJ Barber, have announced a 6ppl price increase to occur over the next 3 months.
The increases are broken down into 2.5ppl in December, 2ppl in January and 1.5ppl in February. This will take Barber’s standard litre price to around 30ppl.
The move to announce 3 months of milk price changes has been stated by the processor to translate market improvements to provide its suppliers with renewed confidence for the winter.
