Devon farmer dies after tractor overturns

A farmer from Devon has died after his tractor overturned killing him.

Timothy Stewart Green was killed at his farm in East Portlemouth in the South Hams on February 10, an inquest opening heard.

Mr Green, 42, was driving the tractor at Village Farm when it overturned trapping him.

Paramedics and the Devon Air Ambulance attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances

A spokesperson for the police said: “On February 10, emergency services were called to an address in East Portlemouth following reports that a male had been injured on a farm.

“The Devon Air Ambulance also attended but regrettably a local man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation by the Police on behalf of HM Coroner, and the Health and Safety Executive are also conducting an investigation.

“Our sincere thoughts and condolences go out to the friends and family."
