Two sheep have been mauled to death and a further six had to be destroyed after a vicious dog attack in Shropshire.
The incident happened between Sunday night and Monday morning on 1/2 December.
A dog, described as a black-faced Alsatian, attacked and killed two sheep at a farm at Wolverley, between Wem and Welshampton.
Six other sheep were injured and had to be destroyed.
The incident follows news of a man who was sentenced to just 80 hours of community service after his dogs attacked sheep, leading the industry to call for harsher penalties.
