Applications for Tesco's career-focused Future Farmer Foundation is now open for people aged between 20 and 35.

The 12-month programme, sponsored by Tesco, is searching for young farmers to help build on their careers.

It is now in its fourth year, meaning 200 young farmers from across the UK and Ireland have attended.

The programme seeks to develop young people's future by building business skills, learn more about supply chains and find out from industry experts what they need to know to be successful.

The Future Farmer Foundation's website states: "First of all you'll get to know a group of like minded young farmers who face many of the same challenges as you.

"But, you also get to find out from them what works, where they see future opportunities and how they manage key challenges, like succession and obtaining land.

"You also meet and learn from top industry professionals across banking, law, consultancy, accountancy as well as senior executives in food businesses."

The programme is free, and all applications should be completed by Friday 28th September.
