THE MISSING BEES PART THREE.

We have reported on the mystery of the missing bees in England, Argentina and Australia. The United States have now confirmed that 36% of the bees, in the hives of California are missing.

The mystery is that the hives were just empty, when the keepers went to check on them.

This is causing concern to the almond industry, worth $2.3 billion a year that relies on the bees to pollinate the trees.

Like other countries experts have been called in, to try and find some rhyme or reason to the mystery that has most defiantly gone global.


Argentine honey production has dropped from 70,000 tons in 2007, to 20,000in 2008.

Argentina is the worlds largest producer of honey, followed by China, United States, Ukraine Australia and Cuba now has a thriving honey industry, which was badly damaged in this years hurricanes.
