West Lakes farmer wins contract with store giant

A LAWYER turned Lakes farmer has won a contract to supply supermarket giant Booths with pork.

Tony Fox is rearing British Saddleback pigs on his farm in Eskdale Green, where the happy hogs happily roam the woods and fields.

Mr Fox, 58, whose family is from St Bees, moved to Eskdale from Hong Kong with his Australian wife and five children a few years ago, when he was told to take it easy after a heart attack. He tumbled into his new venture when his seven-year-old daughter was given four sows by a local producer two years ago.
