Alan's background is in farming and he started working on the land at 10 years old. After leaving school, Alan trained as a mechanic before moving into welding and fabrication and during the course of his career worked for many large companies including Anglian Water. Alan then founded Tailor Made Metal Fabrication in 1993 and hasn't looked back since!

Entirely self-taught Alan is an extremely talented fabricator who over the last 20 years has amassed a huge amount of experience designing and building bespoke equipment.

Our Expertise
Alan is supported by a highly skilled, dedicated team of engineers and fabricators who have a diverse set of skills and are a reliable, safe pair of hands for all agricultural repairs, bespoke builds and any walk in steel requirements you may have.


Our fully equipped on-site workshop is open six days a week between 0730-1700hrs Monday to Friday. Saturday opening times are 0730-1300hrs and are subject to season. The workshop is closed between Christmas and New Year.
