Agriculture Apprenticeship Level 3

For either course, you need to be working within an agricultural environment. Level 3 will suit you if you are a Section Head, Assistant Farm Manager or Livestock Technician/Charge Hand.

In both levels of Apprenticeship, you will study a mix of theory (knowledge) and practical (competency) topics, examples are provided below. You will follow the pathway and units that are most closely connected to your work. You may also complete appropriate NPTC machinery qualifications, such as tractor driving.

Pathways available in:

- Mixed farming
- Livestock
- Crop production. Level 3 topics will include:
- Health and safety and security, Record keeping, Identifying and monitoring and the healthy growth of crops

Establishing and monitoring appropriate conditions for livestock, and Establishing and monitoring site hygiene and bio-security. Alongside this work, you will also complete modules on Employment Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and Functional Skills English and Mathematics
