Course overview
This advanced three-evening course is designed for those who have completed both the BTCC Beginner and Intermediate dog behaviour sessions and are ready to take their understanding of canine behaviour to the next level. In this short course, we will go beyond the surface of behavioural issues and explore the deeper causes that influence how dogs think, feel, and behave. Topics will include the impact of gut health, chronic or undetected pain, neurochemical imbalances, and the role of diet in emotional and behavioural regulation. We’ll also examine a range of treatment approaches from conventional methods to alternative therapies emphasising the importance of a whole-dog approach when working with complex behaviours. While this course includes discussion of medications and complementary therapies, please note that it is delivered from a qualified and experienced Clinical Animal Behaviourist’s perspective and does not constitute veterinary advice. Tea and coffee provided.
